"Strategy Meeting for Sustainable and Healthy Social Activism" to be Held! 🌱

Creative Studio koko will hold its first kokonome🌱 event.

"Kokonome" is a place for people involved in "creating and delivering" to exchange different ideas, perspectives, and emotions, and to explore paths from our current position to the world we want to live in, and to start moving forward together.

We will hold events with invited guests and publish articles centered on the activities of people gathered at Creative Studio koko, covering the planning process, production background, working environment, and our involvement with society in the creative production and expression we are engaged in 🤍

—

The theme of the first event is "Considering Our 'Hearts' and 'Social Activities'."

Currently, there are divided opinions among activists in Japan regarding the ethnic cleansing occurring in Palestine. As horrific images of children and others are routinely broadcast without warning, some individuals may be suffering from symptoms such as PTSD.

Additionally, following the results of the recent Tokyo gubernatorial election, I feel that many people are struggling with how to engage in social activism moving forward.

I hope to explore ways to engage in healthy social activism in the future, together with all of you who are currently active as activists, while cherishing your own well-being and those around you.

—

We especially encourage the participation of: 👀

  • Those who are engaged in social activism daily
  • Those who have felt discomfort or frustration while engaging in social activism
  • Those who struggle with balancing social activism with mental and physical health
  • Those who wish to discuss the nature of social activism with fellow activists
